I love how you expressed my feeling...Dear Sherry,

I love how you expressed my feelings and thoughts exactly, as you described the beautiful small stretch of the Florida Turnpike that I have driven through and enjoyed since moving down from Michigan some 15 years ago. I've thought of this splash of color contrast along this piece of the turnpike in pre-Spring and late Fall as my little bit of Michigan. I also was so pleased to learn that the name of the deciduous trees that gives us most of the contrast with the pine was chokecherries.

I love your column.....please keep it up.

JanetAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1563617538751855242.post-82221871931558168552011-02-22T04:54:35.033-08:002011-02-22T04:54:35.033-08:00Hi Sherry,

I marvel that some of the beauty of Lake County has been saved from the bulldozers. We truly cried when the ‘hills’ of Clermont were carved up for housing developments and commercial entities on SR 50 east of the FL Turnpike.

Bernadette and JimAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1563617538751855242.post-38461165366913878532011-02-21T08:51:33.388-08:002011-02-21T08:51:33.388-08:00Hey Ms. Boas

This is where the idiots in Minneola want to put a huge housing development and a new Turnpike interchange. The economic downturn has provided us a few more years to enjoy this little stretch before it gets bulldozed like everything else in Florida.

I am glad someone else enjoys this wonderful panorama.

Mark
Howey In the HillsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
